ARARSOL ENERGIAS ALTERNATIVAS, S.A. (Lisbon, Portugal) was established in 2007 as the result of the wishes of FOLGAT AG (JSC), KVAZAR (JSC/the largest manufacturer of photovoltaic cells, solar modules and solar systems in Ukraine) and the group of Portuguese investors.

Solar photovoltaic energy has a huge potential in the sunny belt of south Europe and Portugal is one of these lucky countries. Portugal benefits from exceptional solar radiations compared to most of the other European countries.

ARARSOL is committed to create value by designing, supplying and installing photovoltaic solar systems in the Iberian region for a wide range of applications, including building integrated solar systems and power plants, on and off grid.

Also as the shareholders wish to identify large scale and short term business opportunities, its strategic positioning is focused in providing and integrating solar systems solutions of up to 3.68 kWp, due to the positive market upside provided by recent legislation and Portugal's objectives in retail/small-scale generation (microgeneration).
